Acrometis was founded early 2017 following the acquisition of BG Group by Royal Dutch Shell when a group of BG Group leaders recognised the unique capabilities and talented individuals who had chosen not to join Shell as part of the acquisition.
BG Group was a multinational oil and gas company created in 1997 when British Gas plc divested Centrica and became BG plc which was reorganised in 1999 as BG Group plc. By 2015 BG Group had become a successful company with over 5500 staff, annual revenues of over $19B and production around 680boe/d. It had created a reputation as a responsible operator with a lean and agile organisation, focused on value.
Using the opportunity presented by the Shell acquisition Acrometis put together a strong core team with a range of operations and organisational effectiveness skills. We believe that we have a robustly distinctive offering in our combination of deep operations experience combined with a strong commercial realism that puts improving free cash flow at the centre of our approach.
